Schools saved from closure

Alex Johnstone MSP and Prospective Scottish Parliamentary Candidate Nanette Milne gave their full support last year to the parents of Rayne North
and Old Rayne throughout their successful campaign to save their schools from closure.

Alex Johnstone said “I must congratulate the parents on an outstanding campaign to save their schools, and I am delighted to have been able to assist them along the way.” Nanette Milne added “I am very pleased for the communities of Rayne North and Old Rayne that their excellent schools will remain open."

"But it is now vital that pressure is kept up on Aberdeenshire Council to honour
their promise to upgrade the educational facilities at Logie Durno, which at present are very inadequate.”
