Tories
act on crime
Following the huge response to our summer
Campaign for Safer Streets, it is clear that people in Gordon
want to see an increased Police presence in their communities
as a deterrent to crime.
Scottish Conservatives are pledged to:
- Cut bureaucracy and red tape, to release
police officers from desk work and increase the numbers
of community based police officers
- Extend the use of CCTV in city centres
and wherever there is a high incidence of crime
- Ensure that punishment fits the crime
and that sentences should mean what they say Overhaul
the Youth Justice System
- Take violent and persistent young offenders
off the streets by establishing more places in secure
accommodation
- Restore confidence in the Justice System
by putting the needsof victims before criminals
